Joelton, Tenn...For the second week in a row, the eventual tournament
champion went wire-to-wire to earn his victory and this week it was
Roger Tambellini. The Templeton, California native won by a single
stroke over Scott Kammann, Knoxville, TN, and earned the $15,000 first
place check at the Harrah's Casino Classic in Joelton, Tennessee.
Kammann, who started the day at 9-under par, had 8 birdies without a
bogey and finished the tournament at 17-under par. "I didn't really have
a game plan today other than to try to hit good shots," said the Southern
Cal graduate. "Thank goodness for the leaderboards on the course
because I had no idea that Scott (Kammann) was that close." This
tournament was Tambellini's last tournament with the NGA Hooters Tour,
he will be heading to Canada next week to qualify for the Canadian Tour.
Next week the NGA Hooters Tour will be in Maryville, Tennessee to play
the Wright Golf Classic at Royal Oaks Country Club.
