Perdido Key, Fl......Chad Campbell does it again. Campbell has won his
eighth NGA Tour event of the year by three strokes. "I know it was going
to be a long day playing 36 holes so I wanted to stay positive and give
myself every chance I could" commented Campbell. Campbell's win now puts
him over the $175,000 mark in official earnings this season.
The third and final round were played today due to bad weather on
Thursday. Shane Supple, Chris Berry, and Todd Bailey were second at 281.
Matthew Russell, Alpharetta, GA., made a big move this morning by
shoting a 7 under, 65. It erased the previous course record by Todd
Bailey and Chad Wellhausen in the second round. Russell was unable to
continue the great play and finished the final eighteen with a 3 over,
75 leaving himself in seventh place.
The Tour's next stop is in Bay St. Louis, MS next week for the Casino
Magic Classic to be played at The Bridges.
